Study Art and Design in the United Kingdom

Plymouth College of Art and Design

Plymouth College of Art and Design is one of the few remaining specialist art colleges in the country providing both further and higher education.

The College is located in Plymouth's city centre and has earned itself an enviable reputation as one of the main providers of vocational art and design education in Devon and Cornwall. The recent extension and refurbishment of the Tavistock Place building has moved all of the art and design provision onto one site, making an exciting and new learning environment for students.

The College is composed of four subject areas: 3D Design; Media and Photography; Design Communications and Fine Art, Diagnostic Drawing and Painting. The College has many links with local organisations ensuring that students are kept up to date with new developments within the art, design and media industries. The Viewpoint Gallery at the College allows students and local artists to exhibit their work.

The College offers higher education programmes on a full or part-time basis as well as a variety of part-time and short courses which are available to full-time students in addition to their main course.
