The accommodation

The quality of your accommodation is crucially important to the success of your course and your stay with us here in Cambridge. This is why we pay such great attention to the selection, inspection and monitoring of both our homestay and residential accommodation.

You can choose to live with a Cambridge homestay host. Homestay hosts provide a single room and half board.

Or you can choose, during the summer months, to live on-campus at Ridley Hall College.

Activities

Included in our fees is a minimum of five social, cultural or sports activities each week. These give you the opportunity to enjoy Cambridge with your friends from around the world - and to use your English - at no extra cost.

We also offer a variety of extra-curricular academic activities, also free of charge: the Drama Club, the Conversation Club, the Super Grammar Club, the University Club, plus a full programme of lectures and workshops.

On weekends you can take one of our optional full-day or weekend excursions to London, Oxford, Stratford upon Avon, Stonehenge, Edinburgh and other interesting places throughout the United Kingdom, or even to France, Belgium and the Netherlands.

Welfare

Our Customer Services Department has staff trained in welfare issues. We have a 24-hour emergency telephone number and our fees include full medical insurance.

Our students typically come from: Western Europe 45% Eastern Europe 10% Far East 35% Latin America 5% Other areas 5%

The minimum age for our adult courses is 16 years. There is no maximum age. The average age is 22 years.

55% of our students are women, 45% men.

Young Learners

Over its many years, Studio Cambridge has earned an international reputation for the quality of its courses for children and teenagers.

These language and activity programmes are held in June, July and August. They are run and managed entirely separately from the adult courses.

They include a complete programme of social, cultural and sports activities, excursions, accommodation, all meals, medical insurance and transfers from and to London airports on arrival and departure.

The programmes are well organised, and highly supervised with a very high ratio of staff to students.
